Yesterday, I went to my city's local book fair for the first time in over three years (since it couldn't happen during that time for obvious reasons). I've been to it before many times and it's always quite the experience due the size of the venue and there being five halls filled with seemingly countless stalls full of books and other merchandise.

I'll be making another thread about going there over on OTD soon but also just wanted to showcase the things I got on topic (Warrior Cats) while looking around there.

Just a quick look at the German publisher's stall at the book fair (I think it's safe to say that this battle cat series is one of their topsellers here and thus they did dedicate two shelves soely to it)

Here's my Haul (which includes the entire German special editions for the first arc as well as three different merchandise freebies to go alongside it of which I got a few each)

The notepad/notebooks (featuring the fifth TBC book cover design with Ashfur but a changed title from the original The Place of No Stars which was Ort ohne Sterne in German to Ort für Geheime Notizen which would translate to The Place of Secret Notes if taking the English title into account but just without the The in the front)

So without further ado, time for the book review (hey, that sort of rhymed but not really). I already made at least two threads regarding the covers for the third and sixth books of this reprinted/special edition version back when they were still coming out and am now so happy to finally own the full set since yesterday as I no longer have that many German Warriors/Warrior Cats books due to buying most of them in English nowadays as well as me just loving the artwork on these.

This will basically be me just showing all of the covers (and the back) of each book individually as well as some of the inside art (of the territory maps and info).

An interesting thing to point out here is the fact that Darkstripe (called Dunkelstreif in German) has Tawnyspots (called Bernsteinfleck in German) confirmed as his father on it. Meanwhile, Willowpelt (Glanzfell) and Whitestorm (Weisspelz, his suffix was changed to -pelt here thus making him Whitepelt) are shown to be mates on here but not that he's Graypaw's (Graupfotes) father (if I'm interpreting that line not connecting them correctly).

Some info about one specific character (usually the cat depicted on the front cover, so in this case it's Bluestar/Blaustern) including some info such as (first) Clan, gender, physical description, fur, eyes and special characteristics (so basically just the wiki description).

Rising Storm/Vor dem Sturm (front and back cover, front allegedly featuring Yellowfang but I'm thinking it's Graystripe due to him getting the character info instead of her, otherwise all other cover cats got it besides her, for some reason)

Family tree additions (weirdly enough, both Tawnypelt and Brambleclaw only started to be included on the famil tree for the fifth book despite already appearing in the fourth book and being born in the third book, they are referred to by their apprentice names here, Tawnypaw/Bernsteinpfote and Bramblepaw/Brombeerpfote)

Thank you :-) The one I went to is one of the biggest ones (if not the biggest one even) taking place here in Germany and is ongoing from this Thursday to this Sunday. It usually does take place in the last week of April so if you ever find yourself in Germany around that time (unlikely but who knows) that is when this whole thing goes down (Hall 3 is arguably the best one as it contains the mangacon as well as the children and YA stuff, including the publisher stall (Beltz & Gelberg) for German Warrior Cats books and free merch. I might actually be going again on Sunday due to a workshop that could need volunteers to help out but nothing is set in stone there yet. Going during the week instead of the weekend is usually better though (less people/less getting shoved). As is the case with most book fair events or other such things, I imagine.

I love the German covers for the books! It’s cool to see the inside pages, especially the territory map. I also like how its color changes based on the book.

Interesting that Tawnyspots being the father of Darkstripe doesn't seem to be retconned here. Especially since he died before Willowpelt became a warrior in RD.
